What it is

Your book of business, visualized geographically

Spreadsheets and client lists don't show you where your business actually lives. Insurstein's geographic analytics layer plots every client and prospect on an interactive map, giving you a visual understanding of your agency's footprint — where you're strong, where you're concentrated, and where there's room to grow.

Visual Territory Intelligence

See client density by area, identify clusters of commercial or personal lines business, and understand which producers own which territories. Filter the map by any dimension — carrier, line of business, premium range, or pipeline stage — to reveal patterns invisible in tabular data.

Concentration & Risk Awareness

Geographic concentration creates risk — a single catastrophic weather event could impact dozens of clients in the same area. The map view helps you and your carriers understand where that concentration exists so you can plan accordingly and diversify strategically.

Core capabilities

Six ways it works for you

1

Interactive Client Map

Every client and prospect plotted on a zoomable, pannable map with color-coded pins.

Clients are geocoded from their addresses and displayed as interactive pins on the map. Pin colors indicate status (active client, prospect, churned) or can be configured to reflect line of business, carrier, or premium tier. Zoom in to see individual locations; zoom out to see regional patterns.

2

Multi-Dimensional Filtering

Filter the map by producer, line of business, pipeline stage, carrier, or premium range.

Apply one or more filters to focus the map on exactly what you want to see. View only commercial auto clients, only prospects in a specific pipeline stage, or only policies with a particular carrier. Filters update the map in real time, revealing geographic patterns within any segment of your book.

3

Concentration Analysis

Identify areas of geographic concentration that may pose risk to your book of business.

The system analyzes client density by zip code, county, and custom-defined regions. High-concentration areas are highlighted so you can assess catastrophe exposure, understand carrier appetite implications, and make informed decisions about geographic diversification of your book.

4

Pin-to-Client Navigation

Click any map pin to view client details, policies, and recent activity without leaving the map.

Each map pin opens a detail panel showing the client's name, address, active policies, total premium, assigned producer, and recent activity. From this panel, you can navigate directly to the full client record, send a communication, or create a task — all without losing your map context.

5

Producer Territory View

See which areas each producer covers and identify gaps or overlaps in territory assignment.

Filter the map by producer to see their individual territory footprint. Compare territories side by side to identify gaps where no producer has clients, or overlaps where multiple producers may be competing. Use this insight to make data-driven territory assignments.

6

Growth Opportunity Mapping

Identify underserved areas and plan geographic expansion based on existing client density.

By analyzing where your clients are — and where they aren't — the map reveals natural expansion opportunities. Combine this view with prospect pins from your sales pipeline to see where you're already making inroads and where untapped potential exists.

What they don't do

Gaps in the tools you're using today

Mental Maps of Your Territory

Replace the informal, memory-based understanding of where your clients are with an actual data-driven geographic view.

Carrier Concentration Reports

Stop manually counting clients by zip code for carrier concentration questionnaires — pull the data from the map.

Territory Assignment Guesswork

Replace gut-feel territory decisions with visual data showing exactly where each producer's clients are located.

Spreadsheet Zip Code Analysis

Eliminate the tedious process of exporting addresses to a spreadsheet and sorting by zip code to understand geographic distribution.

Third-Party Mapping Tools

Stop exporting data to Google Maps, BatchGeo, or other external tools that don't connect back to your client records.

Blind Spot Ignorance

Stop wondering where you don't have clients. The map makes gaps in coverage immediately obvious.

What it takes off your plate

Everything it handles for you

Address Geocoding

Automatically converts client addresses to map coordinates so every record is plottable without manual data entry.

Density Calculations

Computes client density by region and highlights areas of high concentration that may need attention.

Real-Time Map Updates

New clients and prospects appear on the map automatically as they're added to the system — no refresh needed.

Filter Persistence

Remembers your preferred map filters and view settings so you don't have to reconfigure the map every time you open it.

Pin Detail Assembly

Pulls together client details, policy summaries, and activity history into the map pin detail panel automatically.

Export-Ready Views

The current map view and filtered data can be exported for carrier submissions, board presentations, or strategic planning sessions.

A day in the life

How your morning changes

8:00 AM

Morning Territory Review

Open the geographic view filtered to your producer territory. See 4 new prospects added this week — two are in a zip code where you already have strong carrier relationships.

10:30 AM

Carrier Meeting Preparation

A carrier asks about your geographic concentration in coastal zip codes. Filter the map to show only their policies — screenshot the view and include it in your business review presentation.

1:00 PM

Route Planning

Three client visits scheduled for tomorrow. View all three on the map to plan an efficient driving route and identify two nearby prospects to drop in on along the way.

3:15 PM

A new producer is joining the team. Use the geographic view to show them where existing client density is high and identify underserved areas they can focus their prospecting efforts.
