What it is

A Phone System That Lives in Your AMS

Browser-based calling powered by WebRTC that eliminates the need for desk phones, separate VoIP contracts, and third-party integrations. Every call is logged, recorded, and linked to client profiles automatically.

No Hardware, No Hassle

Insurstein's phone system runs entirely in your browser. Click a number or use the dialpad to make outbound calls, and inbound calls ring directly in the app. Dedicated agency phone numbers with proper caller ID mean clients see your agency name, not a random number. The system works from any computer with a browser and microphone — ideal for remote and hybrid agencies.

Intelligent Call Routing

Inbound calls can be routed using three strategies: Ring All sends the call to every available agent simultaneously, Round Robin distributes calls evenly across the team, and Last Agent routes the caller to whoever handled them last. Missed calls generate a badge notification so nothing goes unreturned, and voicemails are stored with playback directly in the platform.

Core capabilities

Six ways it works for you

1

WebRTC Browser Calling

Make and receive calls from any browser with no software or hardware to install.

WebRTC technology delivers carrier-grade voice quality through your browser. Calls connect in milliseconds with echo cancellation and noise suppression built in. All you need is a modern browser and a microphone.

2

Dedicated Agency Numbers

Get dedicated phone numbers with your agency's caller ID.

Provision local or toll-free numbers for your agency. Outbound calls display your agency name and number, building trust with clients and prospects. Multiple numbers can be assigned to different departments or producers.

3

Smart Call Routing

Route inbound calls with Ring All, Round Robin, or Last Agent strategies.

Ring All is ideal for small teams where anyone can answer. Round Robin ensures even workload distribution. Last Agent builds client relationships by routing returning callers to the person they spoke with previously.

4

Call Recording

Record calls automatically for training, compliance, and E&O protection.

Recordings are stored and linked to the client profile. Search recordings by client, date, or agent. Recordings provide an invaluable E&O defense when verbal agreements or coverage discussions are disputed.

5

Voicemail Management

Missed calls go to voicemail with in-app playback and notification.

Voicemail messages are accessible from the call log with one-click playback. Each voicemail shows the caller's matched contact, time, and duration. Agents can return calls directly from the voicemail entry.

6

Contact Matching

Inbound calls are automatically matched to existing client records.

When a call comes in, Insurstein looks up the phone number across all client records and displays the match instantly. Agents see the client name, active policies, and recent activity before they even pick up the phone.

What they don't do

Gaps in the tools you're using today

Separate VoIP Systems

Paying for a standalone VoIP service means managing another vendor, another login, and manually logging calls back into your AMS after every conversation.

Desk Phone Hardware

Physical desk phones tie your team to an office, require IT setup for each new hire, and break down right when you need them during high-volume renewal periods.

Personal Cell Phones for Business

When producers use personal numbers, the agency loses call history, cannot record calls for E&O protection, and has no way to route calls when someone is unavailable.

Manual Call Logging

Asking agents to type call notes into the AMS after every call is unreliable. Busy days mean calls go unlogged, creating E&O exposure and incomplete client records.

No Caller Identification

Without automatic contact matching, agents answer blind. They waste the first minute asking who is calling and searching the AMS for the client record.

Missed Call Chaos

Without centralized missed call tracking, unreturned calls fall through the cracks. Post-it notes and verbal reminders are not a system.

What it takes off your plate

Everything it handles for you

Automatic Call Logging

Every call — inbound and outbound — is logged to the client's Activity tab with direction, duration, agent, and timestamp. No manual entry needed.

Missed Call Badges

Missed calls appear as badge notifications in the interface, ensuring every unreturned call is visible until an agent addresses it.

Contact Screen Pops

When a recognized number calls in, the client's profile and recent activity appear immediately so the agent has full context before answering.

Call Recording Storage

Recordings are stored, linked to client profiles, and accessible from the call log. No need to manage recording files in a separate system.

Voicemail-to-Notification

When a caller leaves a voicemail, the assigned agent receives a notification with one-click playback and a return-call button.

Multi-Device Access

The phone system works from any device with a browser. Agents working from home, the office, or on the road all share the same phone system.

A day in the life

How your morning changes

8:00 AM

Check Missed Calls

Open the call center and see 2 missed calls from after hours. Both show matched client names. Return the first call with one click.

9:15 AM

Inbound Call from Client

An inbound call rings and the screen pop shows it is Summit Trucking with 3 active policies. Answer with full context before the client says a word.

10:30 AM

Outbound Follow-Up Calls

Work through the pipeline and make 5 outbound calls to prospects. Each call is logged automatically to the corresponding deal and client record.

1:00 PM

Review a Recording

A client disputes coverage details discussed on a call last week. Pull up the recording from the call log, play it back, and confirm the original conversation.

4:00 PM

End-of-Day Call Summary

Review the day's call metrics: 34 calls made, 3 missed and returned, average duration 4 minutes. Share the summary with the team in the weekly meeting.
